These 47 finalists, finalist lots of coffee growers from 10 departments, will now be evaluated by an international jury and from April 3 to 5 in Santa Marta, Magdalena, the winners of this fourth edition of the national quality contest will be known. All the finalists will travel to the capital of Magdalena and participate in the awards ceremony.In the category of Small Lots, the five best coffees according to their acidity, body, softness, balance and exotic will each receive a recognition of 25 million pesos. And in the category of Big Lots, there will also be a recognition of 25 million pesos for the best farm coffee. The competing coffees are evaluated according to a protocol developed by the quality office of Almacafé to recognize the unique attributes of Colombian coffee. La subasta en vivo se llevará a cabo en el marco de la feria de la Asociación de Cafés Especiales de Estados Unidos (SCA), la más importante del mundo en su tipo, que este año tendrá lugar en Boston, Massachusetts, del 11 al 14 de abril.
